Goodbye

Now and then very special people enter your life. This friend is one of them. Both of us have been through a lot in the years we've known each other, and some of it hasn't been much fun. On the other hand, most of our time together was a lot of fun, very meaningful, and has resulted in some really good growth and change in both of us. These photos were taken when went out to eat and talk after she announced she was moving over 1500 miles away. It can be hard for me to look at them since she will be missed so much.
Comments:
These are both touching. (I'm a hand holder :) It must have been so hard to say goodbye.
Did you dig manip (digitally manipulate the second image or use a digital filter on it?)
Both are strong images. @nd one's composition and colours are compelling.

The goodbye process is still taking place, and, yes, it stirs a feeling of significant loss to see a long-time, very special friend moving so far away.

I did do some digital manipulation of the second image. I stopped her suddenly during our conversation when I saw her hand placed like that, and I grabbed the camera. She's used to that, though.

Both images have a lot of significance to me....and her. Thanks for visiting, and keep up the outstanding work you do in your blog.
