Hot And Cold

While driving through Pratt, KS, yesterday I stopped to photograph these water towers. For those who aren't familiar with water towers, I'm guessing they're probably 120 feet, or so, off the ground, and maybe 20-25 feet, or so, in diameter. Some people get a thrill out of climbing them and painting graffitti on them, like "Seniors" and whatever year may be appropriate. Others attempt some humor. For example, there is a little town called Agra up in northcentral Kansas and someone added the letters "V" and "I" in front of that name. It made the newspaper, it was painted over, I'm sure, and the tower waits for the next joker to climb it and risk death or arrest.
