Kansas Sea Bottom Fence Post

There is a lot of limestone in Kansas, and, in certain parts of the State, limestone was used years ago to make fence posts. Fossils are seen easily in most of it, and, years ago, one of my brothers was with me while we walked around a river with limestone bluffs above it. We stumbled upon what turned out to be part of the rib cage of a Plesiosaur. This large piece of limestone holds up one half of a metal gate.
