Sun And Lightning

Sunlight streaming in my office window striking a photograph of lightning. In the 80's I used to chase lightning a lot. This photo was done in 1981 on an amazing night for lightning, and depicts a farm house with lightning striking in the distance and "lightning bugs" flying around in the ditches. It's only one of many exposures made that night. After this photo was made I moved on looking for other structures that could be used in the foreground, and, while sitting between a very old, abandoned church and a cemetery way out in the country, watching lightning strike, I saw a pinpoint of red light appear in the cemetery about six feet off the ground. After it appeared it expanded slowly to approximately 18 inches in diameter, before contracting slowly and disappearing. After that happened the second time, I moved on.
