The Way I See It

We lived on this farm 2 1/2 miles south of the Kansas-Nebraska border on what is now named E. 800 Road in Phillips County until I was age 4. Someone added two "lean-to" types of rooms to it after we left. It has been abandoned for many years. We left in 1950, and I have a number of memories of the place, as well as that of my grandparent's place about 1/2 mile north and then west down into an area near a creek that might have water in it sometimes. It was subsistence living out there in those hills, and barely that. That's why we left.
